Douglas Holtquist Born 1955
American, Sculptor/Ikebana Master

Holtquist's basic art training is oriental and comes through the ancient Japanese art of flower arrangement, Ikebana, which he studied in Japan and where he is an acknowledged Master. He is a self-taught sculptor who works in metals, stone, resins, and glass. In 2006 he was commissioned to create the Leslie/Lohman Foundation's Lifetime Achievement Award. He lives and works in Pietrasanto , Italy and New York City.
