Gilbert Lewis Born 1945
American, Painter

Born in Hampton, Virginia, Lewis studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia from 1963 through 1968, where he is presently an instructor in painting. He spent time in Europe specifically to study the work of Italian masters. He received his BFA from the Philadelphia College of Art and a masters degree in Creative Arts in Therapy from Hahnemann University. He lives and works in Philadelphia .
