THE SECOND GREAT LGBT PHOTO SHOW (TENTATIVE TITLE)
June 15 — July 24, 2010
This exhibition is open to all LGBT artists — especially lesbians and transgendered peoples .
There is no entry fee.
We are looking for something other than the solitary beautiful nude, male or female, which can be nice and acceptable, but please consider more....couples, or groups, or use your imagination and create something extra special for this exhibition which is usually one of our largest and most popular shows. Send no more than 20 JPG's on CD or via email (Second Great LGBT Photo Show) no larger than 10 inches (720 pixels) in any one direction and 72dpi only. THE FINE PRINT – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
- All exhibitions will take place at the Leslie/Lohman Gallery at 26 Wooster Street, New York City (btwn Grand & Canal).
- All works must be original art.
- Work should never before have been exhibited at the Leslie/Lohman Gallery.
- Deadline for entries is March 26, 2010.
- Notification of accepted work will begin April 16, 2010.
- Work accepted for exhibition must be delivered to the gallery by June 1, 2010.
- There is no size limit however if your final exhibition prints are large (over 24" any one way) email the exhibition committee in advance.
Work accepted must be delivered appropriately framed and ready to hang—use simple black frames— this includes wiring for hanging. Exceptions may be possible but must be approved in advance by the exhibition committee.
- All work accepted for exhibition MUST have the artists name, address, phone, title of work, date of creation, media, edition, and sale price printed neatly and clearly and attached to the back of each piece.
- A consignment form and labels for your work will be sent to you upon acceptance in the show.
- CD's, JPGs, work prints, etc. must be identified with the artist's name, address and phone no. and will NOT be returned to the artist. They will be kept on file for future reference.
- Leslie/Lohman is NOT responsible for cost of shipment or delivery and/or return of art work to artist. (Leslie/Lohman is a non-profit organization with a relatively small budget and cannot afford to pay for shipment of art or framing costs.)
- Work left 30 days after the end of show will be disposed of at the discretion of Leslie/Lohman.
- Leslie/Lohman reserves the right to reject work due to irresolvable disputes between the artist and curators.
- The curators of this show are the Directors and lesbian coordinator of Leslie/Lohman.
- Curator's selections are final and work accepted for exhibition in this show can be used as reproductions on our website as well as for promotional and/or publicity purposes to promote this show.
