Ed Cervone, aka "Ed of New York"
November 28, 1945 - December 4, 2001

Ed Cervone was born in Ansbach, Germany at the close of WWII and arrived in the USA at the age of five. At the age of nine he won a $100.00 U.S. Savings Bond in a coloring contest sponsored by the New York Daily Mirror.

He attended high school in NYC, lived in Boston for several years working as art director at the Sanson Institute of Heraldry.

Upon his return to NYC he began his erotic art drawings. He exhibited at LLGAF in the early eighties and started submitting work to various gay public-cations such as Honcho, Mandate, Playguy and in 1986 he was showcased in an edition of Advocate Men.

In 1996 he published a book entitled, Phantasies of Gay Sex.
And more recently he did cartoon illustrations for Blue-boy and Black Inches. How-ever, he still derived a good part of his income from heraldry.

Ed Cervone succumbed to cancer.
