Robert F. Varga

Bob was born in 1946 in Endicott, New York. He majored in art at Union-Endicott High School and upon graduation, entered the armed forces. He was a photographer for the 118th Engineering Batallion in Vietnam and a medical photographer at the 406th Medical Laboratory at Zama Hospital, Japan.

After the service, he entered college and received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Fine Arts from Wichita State University, Wichita, Kansas. During his masters program, Bob was a teaching assistant in drawing.

Upon returning to New York State, Bob joined the Studio School and Art Gallery where he served as a curator of exhibitions. In 1984, he began a 12 year period of employment at the Southern Tier AIDS Program, Inc., as an educator. He became Assistant Director of Educational Services for an eight county region in Sourh Central New York State.

Bob's painting and drawing has been represented in numerous exhibition and collections in Kansas, New York, California, Arizona and Mexico.

In 1997, Bob and his life partner, Don Bell, moved to Tucson, Arizona and opened the BELLVARGA Art Studio.
